Getting To Baraka Point Estate

Regardless of how you travel to Virgin Gorda, a member of Baraka Point's staff will be at your point of arrival on Virgin Gorda to greet and escort you to the property (10 minutes) in Baraka Point's 4 x 4 SUVs, which are available for guests to rent during their stay. At Baraka Point guests are given a tour and light refreshments as part of our Welcome Reception. Transfers from the Virgin Gorda airport or ferry dock are complimentary (unless a taxi is required for parties with a great deal of luggage, in which case there is a charge for the taxi fee).

From the USA, fly from your nearest airport to San Juan, Puerto Rico or St Thomas, USVI, then transfer to Virgin Gorda by air or sea.

From the UK, fly from Gatwick to Antigua and transfer by commercial air or private charter flight. From France, fly Air France/KLM to St Martin; from Spain, fly Iberia to San Juan, Puerto Rico; from Italy and Germany fly to London or Paris first then on to Antigua or St Martin. All European flights arriving at San Juan, Puerto Rico or Antigua must then transfer by air to Virgin Gorda on a private charter flight (see below for options) OR to Beef Island on commercial flights operated by American Eagle, Cape Air and Air Sunshine or Liat.

To get to Baraka Point from San Juan/St Thomas (USVI) or Antigua/St Martin, we HIGHLY recommend that our guests travel DIRECTLY to Virgin Gorda by private charter flight with Island Birds (for 5, 7 and 9 seater aircraft or Fly BVI (for 5 seats).

If you prefer to travel by larger commercial aircraft to Beef Island/Tortola you can fly with American Eagle and we can book a private charter boat to collect you from the airport (extra charges apply) or you can take the North Sound Express airport ferry to Virgin Gorda (this is a scheduled ferry which goes to Virgin Gorda every few hours). Smaller aircraft operated by Cape Air and Air Sunshine also fly between San Juan, Puerto Rico & St Thomas to Beef Island where you must then board a ferry or private charter boat to make the 20 minute crossing to Virgin Gorda. Air Sunshine operates its own ferry--please ask the airline for up to date information at the time you book because they no longer fly to Virgin Gorda airport.

Private Charter Flights from San Juan/St Thomas, Antigua & St Martin DIRECT to Virgin Gorda

Charter flights, available through two BVI companies, allow our guests to avoid lay-overs in busy Caribbean airports. The charter pilots meet you on the tarmac after ground handling staff direct you through the airport and assist you with your bags, immigration clearance, etc., to make the trip as easy as possible. The whole process happens seamlessly; guests are usually on the charter plane in less than half an hour from the time they land at San Juan or St Thomas and collect bags. Planes are stocked with chilled beer, Coke/Pepsi and spring water for the journey to Virgin Gorda where our guests are met at the airport by Baraka Point staff.
